Werefrogs (also known as Phibians) are a type of Werecreature that appear in the Wereworld series. They are people who can take on a frog-like form. Also known as Marshmen, the Werefrogs live in the Bott Marshes, away from the rest of the Werelords. They live in closed communities and are weary of strangers. The other natives of Lyssia tell stories of the Marshmen to their children, depicting them as savage beasts closer to Wyldermen than to any civilized person. This lead to many of the Marshmen being hunted by people of the nearby realms. In reality, the Marshmen are nothing like the Wyldermen and even played a big part in the war, having helped Lady Gretchen after she was injured by Lucas's Wyld Wolves in the fight at Bray. They went on to support her in fighting off the Bastians and she in turn helped Lyssia see that they aren't the monsters everyone thinks they are.
